Jade Morgan, the founder of SOCIETY, is a single mother of five who has experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating life with limited support. Despite living in different states without local family support and coming from a small immediate family, Jade's resilience shone through as she learned how to provide for her children. These experiences sparked her overwhelming compassion and empathy for those, especially children, who find themselves in difficult situations due to their upbringing.
Jade's drive to create SOCIETY was fueled by her desire to ensure that her children and others like them are not punished for circumstances beyond their control. She fervently believes that when it comes to so-called wayward youth, society has a responsibility to support and restore them. Her deep understanding of health's social and political determinants gives her a unique perspective on the systemic issues affecting Black and Brown youth.
Jade is a declared abolitionist who believes that society must advance beyond punitive measures to address the needs of our most valuable resources—our children. Her unwavering dedication is evident in her commitment to transforming harmful systems and creating ones that protect and nurture a child's youth. Her vision, which places healthcare services at the forefront, underscores the crucial role of comprehensive healthcare in the well-being and development of every child. Her commitment to transformation gives hope for a future where every child is nurtured and protected.
Her commitment to challenging the current juvenile justice system and advocating for restorative justice and mental health services for all children is at the heart of SOCIETY's mission. Jade's vision is to build a compassionate system that provides the necessary resources and support for every child to thrive, ensuring their health, safety, and potential are protected and nurtured. Her vision for a compassionate system gives hope for a future where every child's integrity, empowerment, transformation, and youth are supported and nurtured.
